You will need to visit the office during normal business hours, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday to search for arrest records.

The Magistrate for Tift County issues arrest warrants; therefore, this office will be an excellent source of information about arrest warrants. The office is located in the Charles Kent Admin Bldg., Room 211, at 225 Tift Avenue, Tifton, GA. The telephone number is 229-386-7907. You may be able to request copies of arrest records by writing the Magistrate at PO Box 214, Tifton, GA 31793.

The Tift County Sheriff’s Office has a website that lists current inmates and a most wanted list. The Sheriff’s Office processes arrest warrants; therefore, you may want to contact the office to inquire about outstanding warrants. The telephone number for the office is 229-388-6020.

When compared to crime rates of counties similar to it, Tift County’s crime rate is higher. From 1999 through 2008, approximately 16,580 crimes were committed in Tift County - - about one every 4 hours.
