Crime Statistics of Camden County, GA

In 2019, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office received around 330 complaints. They included around 280 cases of property crimes and about 50 odd complaints against violent crimes. The annual crime average was 5% higher in 2018, at over 380 incidents. Larceny thefts accounted for the higher number of complaints at 270 while aggravated assaults and burglary cases clocked around 50 reports each.

Compared to some other Georgia counties, Camden County’s crime rate from 1999 through 2008 was a little lower. A crime occurred in Camden County only once about every seven hours during those years. During that time, crime rates increased 32%, with violent crimes doubling. The highest level of crime was during 2008 when the number of crimes topped at approximately 1800 for the year.
